According to Pearson's First Settlers of Schenectady, Jacobus was a son of Joseph (Joost?) Van Sice and Elisabeth Peek, baptized in Schenectady, New York, on 19 August 1733.[1]
He married Sara Marselis, daughter of Gysbert.[2]
